Caio Bescarano

Caio BescaranoCaio Bescarano, composer, pianist and conductor had, in his day, accompanied some of the most famous exponents of French, Italian and international music, great performers from Josephine Baker to Edith Piaf, Trenet to Aznavour, Italian greats like Vanoni, Milly Mina, Ranieri and international stars like Shirley Bassey and Ute Lemperer to name but a few.

Caio studied piano harmony and composition at the Russian Conservatoire in Cairo, city of his birth. In his twenties he followed a call to work as resident accompanist at Italian TV RAI and accepted many concert engagements both in Rome and abroad. His recent untimely death is a great loss to lovers of this music genre which he imbued with his unique style and flawless musicality.

Liesl Muller pays tribute to Caio Bescarano whose sensitive playing is a perfect compliment to her singing.
